About

100 kilometres from the capital of Burgos, in the heart of the Ribera de Duero region, lies this historic town, whose places of interest are:

  • El Humilladero.
  • The Parish Church of Santa Columba: its interior has a 16th century altarpiece by the school of Juan de Juni, with 18 panels and a carving of Santa Columba.
  • The Romanesque chapel of Cristo de los Remedios.
  • El Trinquete.
  • Entrambasaguas – Vadillo” recreational area, perfect for a family day out.

The “del Hambre” spring is known for its diuretic properties and it is said that those who drink this water stop to eat there. Speaking of eating, there are often gastronomic events of great interest for those who enjoy good food.

The river Riaza flows through Adrada de Haza, just a few kilometres from its mouth on the Duero river. We recommend you enjoy this landscape by following the path that bears its name: the Riaza valley path. On the route from Haza, and before reaching Adrada de Haza, the imposing walnut tree (known as the “pajarote”) stands out in the landscape along the banks of the Riaza. Oh, and don’t miss the views from the viewpoint, overlooking the whole village and part of the Corcos moor.

The fiestas in Adrada de Haza are held in honour of San Sebastián (20 January) and the Fiestas de la Juventud (August) are also very popular.
