Aldeyuso
Aldeyuso
About
At the foot of Las Solanas and crossed by the small Prado stream on its way to the Duratón, lies Aldeayuso.
Also formerly known as Aldeyuso (“the village below”), this peaceful village in Valladolid is just 5 kilometres from Peñafiel, following the road to Cuéllar.
The place name shows that it once belonged to the municipality of Molpeceres de Yuso, but Aldeayuso was later incorporated into the municipality of Peñafiel, and is now one of its hamlets.
Today, this small riverside village is known for having the only oenotherapy centre in the province of Valladolid.
Something that draws attention is the blade-shaped peak that Aldeyuso has, in which “La Gran Cueva” is located, small but accessible.
Aldeayuso celebrates its fiestas in honour of San Justo and San Pastor at the beginning of August.
Locality of Aldeayuso: aldeayusano.
