The Espacio Artístico A Cántaros is located in Peñaranda de Duero, in a natural setting in the town centre, close to the Arandilla river. The project was inaugurated in January 2018 with the aim of raising awareness of the artisan work of ceramics, promoting concerts, exhibitions, recitals, book presentations, wine tastings and any artistic and cultural initiative that we can host in our facilities. A place where you will be able to participate in the activities that we propose related, apart from ceramics, with the Rural World, with Health achieved with natural elements and activities aimed at achieving wellbeing.

Workshop area:

• We show the work of handmade ceramics. Guided tour.
• Experiences with clay: initiation to the potter’s wheel, reproduction of prehistoric vases, modelling, oriental firing (Raku).

In the garden:

• Orovida butterfly oasis. Integrated in the Zerynthia Association project that promotes the creation of spaces for pollinating species with the planting of aromatic plants and fruit trees.
• Reproduction of an Iron Age dwelling with reproductions of prehistoric pottery.

Exhibition hall and sale of handicrafts:

• Signature pottery
• Reproductions of historical ceramics
• Multidisciplinary space available to artists who wish to show their work.

Wine corner:

Sale of Ribera del Duero wine from the “Santa Ana” cooperative in Peñaranda. We promote the product produced in our municipality with the vineyards of the area.

Wine tasting:

• Wine “Castillo de Peñaranda” in a ceramic glass that you take away with the tasting and aperitif – 4€.
• Tasting of “Castillo de Peñaranda” or “Matañizal” wine in a glass and ceramic vessel. Sensory experience to appreciate the different nuances provided by the different containers. – 5€
