Bodegas Balbas has its origins in 1777, when our ancestor Abundio Balbas decided to start making wine. Until that time, his trade was that of a boatman.

Since then, we have maintained the same spirit generation after generation, up to the sixth and seventh generation who currently run the winery.

Moreover, Bodegas Balbas is a pioneer and founder of the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin, being one of the most awarded wineries in the whole Ribera del Duero region.

We have more than 100 hectares of vineyards spread throughout the heart of the Ribera del Duero, more specifically in the so-called ‘Golden Diamond’.

White, Rosé, Barrica, Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva, not forgetting our prized Ritus, Alitus and Le Bijou Rose. A wide variety of wines that you will be able to enjoy in our different types of tastings, all of them privately guided for groups, which will make you feel at home!
