The Church of Santiago Apóstol in Zayas de Báscones maintains the semicircular doorway, which is half-hidden by an adobe wall.

It has a ball-and-socket architrave, two arched archivolts and another one with a thick groove, which rest on a pearly crest, flared jambs like small columns and three capitals on each side, with vegetal and zoomorphic motifs. Above it, we can see the nave’s prow chancels, which have no function as the walls have been subsequently rebuilt. The straight chancel is perforated by a semicircular opening that delimits an internal arrow slit; its capitals are vegetal.

Inside, we can find a baptismal font with a mouthpiece in the mouth and a narrow register with rough scrollwork, the rest is a succession of semicircular arches. The innermost archivolt has a triple zigzag decoration, typical of Segovian buildings.
