Finca Torremilanos
Aranda de Duero
About
Torremilanos is a second terrace of the Duero River located a thousand metres south of the river, in Aranda de Duero. The name comes from the year 900, evoking the strategic military enclave that Torremilanos represents. It is possibly the oldest winemaking estate in Spain.
In 1903 Calixto Seijas founded the Torremilanos wine estate. At the end of 1974 Pablo Peñalba López acquires this property on behalf of the Peñalba López family and new facilities are developed on the estate, moving them from the centre of Aranda. Today at Finca Torremilanos we only produce our own grapes: 140 different plots on 200 hectares of vineyards. 100% of the production is organic. Our wines represent the personality of our vineyards and the vintage. We also have our own cooperage where we make all our barrels. We make 20 different wines: cava (2) belonging to the D.O. cava (2), white, rosé and red (9). Our production is unique and unrepeatable.
The 4-star Hotel Finca Torremilanos opened its doors in 2000. It has spacious and comfortable rooms of different styles, with views of our vineyards from most of them.
In 2006 we opened the Torremilanos restaurant, within the facilities of our hotel:
- Our cuisine offers a wide variety: from the traditional roast suckling lamb to the most sophisticated and original dishes.
- Capacity of the rooms:
- Torremilanos Room, 150 people
