About

The wine museum is located in the castle of Peñafiel and was designed by the architect Roberto Valle González. The southern courtyard houses various areas of the museum and consists of three floors (ground floor, mezzanine and basement). The top floor is occupied by a research library, the middle floor by the reception room and the ground floor by the tasting and sampling room.

The exhibition is a journey through the history and culture of wine, bringing visitors closer to the production and elaboration techniques. In the tasting room it is possible to take a guided tasting of different wines from the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin, as well as to attend courses and professional tastings.

The visit is completed with the castle, built in the 10th century, although the current building dates from the 15th century. From here you can see the whole valley.
