This railway bridge is currently in disuse. Built in the mid-20th century to cross the Duero River as it passes through Aranda, the Madrid-Burgos railway line used to pass over it.

It is known as the bridge of the DESPERATE because there have been numerous cases of suicides, as it crosses a considerable height. Nowadays you can see many passers-by walking along its unused tracks, but it is not advisable.
