About

Originally from the 12th century, it has undergone alterations in later centuries. Its construction and orientation are typical of rural Romanesque architecture: masonry and ashlars at the corners, with a single nave and semicircular apse facing east. Only the apse remains from this Romanesque origin, as the rest of the church was rebuilt in the Gothic period and in the 18th century. The apse is plastered and preserves the original corbels, as well as the north wall. It is also possible to observe how Romanesque and even older pieces have been used to reconstruct both the portico (it is easy to see a fragment of a Roman stele) and the belfry (Romanesque pieces with sogueado).

But the most curious feature of the temple is undoubtedly the pairs of blind arches on both sides of the presbytery (those on the south side have been seriously damaged). In this building, on the north wall, there is a group of graffiti made with ochre paint in which geometric figures and birds are depicted. The graffiti are strange because of their morphology but also because of their location, since this space was only used by clerics.
