In 1998, a group of businessmen and winemakers, all of them linked to the Ribera del Duero region, set about founding Bodegas Abadía de San Quirce.

This year, and after an enormous amount of research work, the construction of the winery began in one of the areas of Ribera del Duero with the longest winemaking tradition, with very old vineyards and extraordinary quality.
