Bodegas Traslascuestas was born out of the concern of a family of Rioja winemakers (Bodegas Fernández de Piérola), taking on the challenge of producing our native variety, “Tempranillo”, in an area with peculiarities that differ from our origins.

This has led us to venture into the town of Valcavado de Roa in an area which, due to its altitude of 850 metres, is known as “El Balcón de la Ribera” where Tempranillo expresses its greatest typicality, between the towns of Pedrosa and Roa de Duero.

The Piérola family, in its commitment to sustainable development, has conceived an eco-efficient and environmentally friendly building, which achieves 100% of its thermal requirements thanks to geothermal energy, making it a pioneering winery in its application in the Ribera de Duero Denomination of Origin.

The winery is open to visits, vineyard tours, tastings and wine tastings.

It also has:

• Hotel with 10 spacious rooms.
• Restaurant service by appointment.
• Cafeteria and wine shop.
• Facilities for companies or work groups with a projection room and other requirements for this type of event.
