Viña Mambrilla is a family winery that was founded in 1999 under the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin, in the municipality of Mambrilla de Castrejón (Burgos).

Although the winery was founded that year, the Arranz family was already familiar with good winemaking practices thanks to Primitivo Arranz, a man who not only took care of his vines and made his wines, but also passed on the knowledge of good winemaking know-how to his children and grandchildren.

Viña Mambrilla has 60 hectares of its own vineyards, which are sheltered from the inclemency of the weather and are cared for with care and dedication, from the youngest to the most ancient, which are between sixty and eighty years old. The winery produces three brands: Alidis, Peón Caminero and Esentium, with several wines of each brand. In the Alidis brand, the two signature wines Alidis Expresión and Alidis V.S. stand out, and in the Peón Caminero brand, the signature wines El Capataz and La Casilla.

The wines are aged in different types of oak barrels (Central European, French and American).

The signature wines are made with special care, as their production process is different from the rest, not only because of the grapes from long-established vineyards, but also because of the winemaking process, as the malo-lactic fermentation is carried out in French oak barrels where the wine is left to rest for 24 months.

From the first vintage to the present day, our wines have received numerous awards, a reflection of our hard work and dedication.
