Visit to BODEGAS DOMINIO DE CAIR, in La Aguilera (Burgos). Welcome with tasting of a white wine at the beginning. Guided tour of the winery facilities with tasting of 2 wines directly from the barrel. Lunch at RESTAURANT ASADOR EL PASTOR, in Aranda de Duero (Burgos). If you visit Aranda you can’t miss the famous suckling lamb roasted in a stone oven. Mesón El Pastor is a restaurant with a warm, cosy and family atmosphere, located in the centre of Aranda. With elegance and good taste, Mesón El Pastor has been offering its customers, for over 35 years, excellent suckling lamb roasted in a wood-fired oven.
The menu includes typical products of the area: black pudding from Aranda, cooked chorizo, Iberian ham croquettes, cecina IGP León with arbequina oil and cheese shavings. Main course: roast suckling lamb with garden salad. Homemade desserts, young local wine, coffee and shots.
THEATRALISED VISIT TO THE HISTORICAL DON CARLOS WINERY, in Aranda de Duero (Burgos) + RIBERA DEL DUERO WINE TASTING COURSE. We will start with a visit to the underground medieval cellars with a funny character from the 18th century, who will guide us through the history of the medieval cellars and the town of Aranda. And we will continue with a Tasting Course designed to introduce you to the world of wine tasting in a pleasant, simple and above all fun way. The winery’s oenologist and sommelier will explain the basic principles of tasting and, through five wines, we will learn the phases and components to be analysed: colours, aromas and flavours.
Special dinner at RESTAURANT EL 51 DEL SOL, in Aranda de Duero (Burgos). Awakening the senses, that’s what it’s all about. The correct use of innovative culinary techniques plus David Izquierdo’s meditated, measured and improvisation-free cuisine define the gastronomic experience at 51.
