An extensive range of activities has been designed for visitors and members of the Ribera del Duero Wine Route to celebrate in style the month of November, dedicated to wine tourism. The main event will be the ‘Maridajes de Ruta’ in San Esteban de Gormaz (Soria), with visits to the historic centre and underground cellars, as well as wine and bacon tastings.

Aranda de Duero, 4 November 2024
The Ribera del Duero Wine Route is once again joining the celebration of the World Wine Tourism Day, which will take place on Sunday 10 November, with an extensive programme of activities that will be carried out throughout the month and that will involve both the visitors that will be received in the coming weeks and the members of the Route themselves.
The Route thus joins the many initiatives that will be organised worldwide by other wine routes, supporting this idea of the European Network of Wine Cities (RECEVIN) which seeks to support the culture of wine and promote wine tourism as well as the wine regions, which are the backbone of rural territories and generate not only economic wealth, but also cultural and heritage wealth.
The central activity of the Ribera del Duero Wine Route will take place this year in the Soria town of San Esteban de Gormaz, where the ‘Maridajes de Ruta’, an attractive proposal that offers a global vision of wine culture, will take place on Saturday 9 November.
The programme starts at 10:30 in the morning with a welcome and cultural visit to San Esteban de Gormaz, a guided tour that will take in the most emblematic points of this historic town. At 12:30 the participants will enter one of the underground cellars of the town with the Friends of the Cellars and the Castle Association. Finally, from 12:30 to 14:00, there will be a wine tasting paired with wine from the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin accompanied by the exquisite Torrezno de Soria.
The activity is free but with limited places, so it is necessary to register in advance, before 6 November, through the form that will be available on social networks, on the website of the Route(www.riberate.com) or in the QR code on the poster itself.
