Aranda de Duero, 23 January 2024
Once again this year, the Ribera del Duero Wine Route will attend FITUR along with the other Castilla y León Wine Routes, at the region’s stand. The stand will be located in pavilion number nine and this year will cover more than 900 square metres with an innovative concept. The Regional Government of Castilla y León is thus joining in the creation of a technologically innovative stand, which will offer visitors the chance to enjoy the Ribera del Duero Wine Route members in a unique tasting room, allowing them to discover its wine tourism offer in an immersive way.
Finca Villacreces and Bodegas Pradorey will be travelling to the fair to offer tastings on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th at 2:15 pm, respectively. At the same time, several of the members will participate in the commercial space of the stand holding meetings with professionals from the sector to promote the important work being done in the tourism sector of the territory.
The culmination of the activities in which the Route will participate will be a cocktail party organised by the Minube travellers’ platform on Saturday 27 January. The event will bring together around 1,500 travellers and will be attended by various influencers from the world of tourism. The wineries Dominio Lubiano, Finca Villacreces, Valdubón, Viña Arnáiz, Tierra Aranda, Protos, Convento Oreja, Vinos de la Luz, Legaris, Nabal, Pradorey and Valsotillo will be in charge of offering wine to those attending this event.
Presentation of the Smart Office of the Route
The International Tourism Fair has been the space chosen to present a new operating and management system Smart Offices that consolidates the commitment of La Ruta del Vino Ribera del Duero for the transformation into a smart destination initiated in 2016. This innovation makes the Route a pioneer in this field in Spain.
The presentation will take place on Thursday 25 January at the Castilla y León stand with Ángel González Pieras, Director General of Tourism of Castilla y León, Miguel Ángel Gayubo, President of the Ribera del Duero Wine Route, and Sara García, Manager of the Ribera del Duero Wine Route. Fernando Redondo and Celia Romero, from Inteligencia Turística, the company that develops the Smart Office, will also speak at the event.
The Smart Office operating and management system is part of the PSTD Ribera del Duero Wine Route project and has European funding through the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism-NextGeneration EU, a financial instrument of the C14.I1 investment of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Spanish Government. In this context, the Ribera del Duero Wine Route has received a grant of 1,825,550 euros to be executed over three years for the deployment and development of the Tourism Sustainability Plan in Destination Ribera del Duero Wine Route, which presents 16 actions structured in four thematic axes dedicated to green and sustainable transition, improvement of energy efficiency, digital transition and competitiveness.
